About Dental College & Hospital

SCB Dental College and Hospital is the only Government college of the state. It was started as a Dental wing of S. C. B. Medical college which has been upgraded to a full-fledged Dental college at present.It is one of the pioneer institute in eastern part of India in Dental teaching, training, research and patient care. The College was started with provision for BDS curriculum for 20 intake capacity. At present it has evolved to provide the both UG and PG training. UG intake capacity has been increased to 50 and PG intake capacity is 18 as per seat matrix of 2018.

It gives me immense honor and privilege in welcoming you as Principal of S.C.B. Dental College, Cuttack. The institute is Affiliated to Utkal University and now also Affiliated to Odisha University of Health Sciences.
Since its inception in the year 1983, our Institute has completed 42 years of imparting Dental Science Education and skills to BDS and as well as MDS students.
Over the years, the institute has grown tremendously and achieved a remarkable reputation, with a 63 BDS students per year and 27 MDS students in all 09 (nine) specialities per year.
We have a dedicated and qualified faculty and staff committed to teaching and providing quality treatment to patients with advanced technologies.
Our focus is creating competent, socially responsible and confident dental professionals through comprehensive training.
Our motto is shaping the future of dentistry, where knowledge meets compassion.
